In 1977 Emil founded a new company called "Advanced Forest Technology Inc."



He patented a wood chip stoker for a wood burning furnace



He also patented a portable log skidder, "Mini Logger"

Emil wanted to fly from the farm so land clearing commenced to construct an airstrip

Emil purchased his first Cessna 172 from Southern Ontario



During a week off work Emil went to pick up the 172 and fly it 1,400 km home in February 1979. During his flight the outside temperature was -47C and there were ice crystals in the air.

Ron also had a love for aviation and obtained his Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License and Private Pilot License.

Emil also traveled to Hong Kong, Thailand, France, England, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, across Canada, across the USA, and attended conferences



Emil's first opportunity to return home to visit his family in Ruda nad Moravou was in December 1989 after the country's political changes



After returning to Canada Emil and Eva were divorced and Emil began remodeling the small farm house



In 1990 Emil and Ron founded a new company, "Moravia Inc." to connect the Czech aviation industry with North America



They imported, certified, and sold Czech motorgliders



They also imported, certified, and sold Czech inline aircraft engines



Emil and the late Paul Poberezny, founder of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association)

Emil and Lindsey met in 1997 and so began their 21+ year adventure of living, working, and traveling together
